Warranty Coverage

AKETEK® products (excluding Gift Cards) are covered by a warranty against defects in material or workmanship under normal use. Aketek Industries AB will repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of any product or portion thereof determined to be defective in materials or workmanship.

Note: The warranty is provided in addition to the rights and remedies granted to you by the seller or under applicable legislation. Therefore, any remedy (e.g., rectification, claim for damages, right to terminate the contract) granted by Aketek Industries AB or under the law remains unaffected.

The warranty is limited to the terms and conditions stated herein. Aketek Industries AB shall not be responsible for any indirect or consequential damages arising out of the use of our products. If a third-party reseller or supplier provides a warranty more extensive than this one, Aketek Industries AB will not be liable for any obligations, actions, or omissions beyond those stated in this warranty.

All warranty claims must be made directly to Aketek Industries AB by the customer who purchased the product. Products must be purchased from Aketek Industries or an authorised reseller to be covered by the warranty.

Validity

AKETEK Industries AB warrants that its Products are free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

The following types of products are covered by the warranty:

Auto-darkening welding filter (ADF) (2-year warranty period)

Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR) (2-year warranty period)

Batteries for AIR (1-year warranty period)

Exclusions from Warranty

The warranty does not cover:

Defects caused by normal wear and tear.

Misuse, accidental damages, abuse, alterations of the product from its original configuration or improper maintenance of the product.

Welding face shields and their consumable parts.

Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty is void if the product has been tampered with, misused, abused, improperly maintained, used with components other than AKETEK® brand products, or altered from its original configuration. Failure to follow the user instructions may result in the warranty being voided. Please read the user instructions carefully.

In-Warranty

Aketek Industries AB offers free repair services, replacement parts or a similar replacement product to address defects in material or workmanship, provided the warranty is valid and all conditions are met.

Out-of-Warranty

For repairs not covered by the warranty, including customer-induced damages, the customer may still reach out for support and repair services. However, a Diagnostic Fee is required to be paid in advance prior to sending in the product and the customer agrees to pay for the repair services, including the cost of spare parts, as well as any applicable shipping and handling fees.

Customers can always contact our support team for repair suggestions and cost estimates by providing their proof of purchase and the product's serial number.

Claims Process

For defective or damaged products that fall under the warranty, please contact us at support@aketek.com to arrange a refund or exchange.

A copy of the original invoice and the product's serial number are required as proof of purchase to claim the warranty.

If troubleshooting indicates that the defect is not covered by the warranty, any repair work will not be covered, and the manufacturer or service provider will be entitled to remuneration for such repairs.

The manufacturer will not be responsible for any third-party expenses or costs exceeding the product's original purchase price, or any indirect or consequential costs.

Disclaimer of Other Warranties

To the fullest extent allowed by law, this warranty is the sole and exclusive remedy for any defects in AKETEK® products. The manufacturer expressly disclaims all other warranties, expressed or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. The manufacturer will not be responsible for incidental, consequential, punitive, or liquidated damages, including but not limited to loss of earnings or other indirect damages and losses. If statutory or implied warranties cannot be lawfully disclaimed, they will be limited in duration to the duration of this warranty and to repair or replacement as determined by the manufacturer.
